My Picks: Men's Fashion

Ok, So I wanted to post about something not many girls post about: Men's Fashion.  I searched online and picked what I thought were good outfits for guys, save the typical suit.  I mean all men look good in a suit but I wanted to focus on more relaxed feels.  Enjoy

Ok, I don't know how many of you watched MTV's The Hills, but its spin off sister show THE CITY featured this underwear model in the first season.  Remember, he was the cute guy dating the really skinny girl, Ally.  He was a little cheater but damn he looks good in those D&Gs!

BACK TO MENSWEAR
This is how jeans should look on all guys!  I'm not one to get too trendy when it comes to fashion, and I feel these aren't too tight(like the new urban style) or too loose(like the old urban style) but rather, just right ;)

I love this pic, this man looks sophisticated yet chic in a strictly heterosexual way.  The sweater is quite masculine and this is probably the only time I'm not thrown off by a jean shirt.  Looking hawt old(er) man

Not sure the type of watch he's wearing but the watches below would look great with this look, I just love how masculine they are

The pic above is a comfty casual look:  Again the jeans fit just right, the shirt is tucked in with a belt. This person looks very put together without looking overly metro-sexual, which is kind of a turn off for me; which is why I felt inspired to post this kind of blog

Above is a handsome collection, now I say handsome because this is for a more primpy kind of man.  Again I like these looks because they retain a non metro masculine feel, OMG scrumptious!

This is another watch, I think it would look divine on the outfits above and the pic featured below it
This watch reminds me of a man that is wise, well traveled but very approachable
Normally, I would say the look above is too done up for a man but I have to say it grew on me at second glance.  Although its put together in a "matured fashion sense' way I still think the average joe would look delicious in it
That brings me to another outerwear look: The coat color, the gloves, the suit, it all works, although this kind of a coat might not suit everyone

The pic above inspired me to post this blog, specifically the look on the right.  The shorts may be a little short for  a man, but with the shoes and the long sleeves it really works; I mean how much more adorable could he get?

And LASTLY
I know I said no suits but I just couldn't help it.  I mean look at the crispness of the all white jacket with the black trimming, and the little bow tie, SO DAMN DAPPER.

I wish men would get back to slicking their hair,  i.e Paul Varjak from Breakfast at Tiffanys

And as a reward for reading this blog, I give you the following:

Muscles: Check
Tan: Check
Sweat: Check

Hope you Enjoyed, thanks for reading:

Glamorous Home Decor

Sometimes when I want to feel inspired I google glamour home decor.  My favorite is the old schools glamour, like New York elite in the 1920s and such.  Gold and heavily trimmed walls, large mirrors etc, I just love it.  I decided to put together a post of images from the internet and other blogs.  So that I may share some of my inspiration with all of you!  Enjoy:

LOVE THIS CLOSET ROOM IDEA

 Isn't it just FABulous!

here's a neat shoe organizing idea

Love this look, but I wouldn't perfer it as a scheme for my own home.  I prefer more traditional glamour

A mirrored vanity is always in fashion

And lastly this princess bed would be so romantically chic to have-AH to be inspired!

Short and sweet, ciao people

Sleep Overs and Slumber Parties

OOOOoooOOOH HELLO

So I've been crashing at my parents a lot lately.  Which is a good thing, because all those times I use to spend doing bad things, I can now spend with my family.  The only thing is that my busy body older sister doesn't come by the house anymore :(
She spends her days, when shes not in school or being a teacher assistant, she's at her boyfriends house.  I don't blame her, her residence is still at my parents house and she's way to damn old to be lingering around there ;)  I mean, so far I'm the only one who moved out and that was when I was 22.  I've just turned 26, so its been 4 years now.  And I love my parents but it sure is nice having my own home, with my fiance that is.  I'm sure my sister will feel the same way when she officially moves in with her boyfriend.  My little sister is the luckiest is my book, she's still in college and living at home.  I try to emphasize how she's still in college and lives at home!  I mean, these are the prime years for her, and I'm afraid she's way to much of a home body like my older sister and I.  I mean, she was going to school in NY CITY!  But she transferred to a school in Boston, because I think she missed her family.  Which is sweet but at the same time, I wish I could live my life vicariously through hers, but I don't want to if she's a boring home body :P
So here's a pic I took with the typical side look.  Now, I'm being sarcastic here because the side look pics are so0o0o0o0o annoying, but I mean, if thats how you take pics, thats all good, but I figured I needed just one in my lifetime HA

Ok, I'll stop taking pics of myself now.  If you guys want to know how I did my MAKEUP for this look check out my latest video.  HERES MY CHANNEL  Enjoy, rate, comment, subscribe

CLOGGED

GO GET THE FLU SHOT, if you haven't already.  I usually do every year, except for the last two.  I regret it deeply, seeing as how I was sick for a week.  The flu led to me having a bronchial infection, because of my asthma.  Now that I'm feeling better, I still have a horribly clogged nose.  I've done all the tricks in the book to breathe again and frankly nothing works.  I have not been able to taste anything in a week.  I'd give anything to taste food again, I mean, it really is horrible.  The week I was sick started the day before Christmas eve, so for the whole holiday season I've been dealing with this nonsense!  UGH!  As soon as I can taste food again, I'm making my boyfriend buy my as pizza!  I felt horrible too because I asked him to order us chinese food on New Years Eve, with the hopes that I'd actually be able to taste it but it was just a waste of money for him.  Poor guy, Thanks Alex!  At least he was able to enjoy it.  I should be resting right now, but I'm waiting for my Windows Movie Maker to upload a video, its taking over 20 mins now!  The videos no more than 10 mins so I can't image why its taking so long.  ANYWHOO
I guess I'll go lie down again....hopefully there are new videos from my youtube subscriptions.

Shopping stinx

Ok girls, I know we've all had it: a horrible shoppin day. I'm not the mall type, or the going out and buying myself clothes type. In fact most of my clothes are my LITTLE sisters hand me downs. So on the days I do shop, usually around my bday, I get completely panic-y. I mean it wasn't so bad in the days where I could fit into anything. But I had two miscarriages this year (sorry for the downer) an now Im all bloated in places that were firm before. Its horrible! Im an active person so its always been easy to get back where I need to be if I find myself gaining a few pounds. But with my metab slowing down and this extra weight I felt like a blimp in the dressing room today. It was horrible, not to mention the only place I could go to was TJ Maxx because its so close to my house. Tj Maxx isnt bad, at least it wasn't back in the day, when it had a lot of options at affordable prices, but geez w-t-heck happened to them?!
All i could find were horribly ugly shirts and all of them were at least 20 dollars. I guess thats a sign of a true recession. Thank the lord I managed to find some good fittin DKNY jeans for 20 bux. I searched mindlessly for a shiny top to make me feel like a star on my birthday, but when I went to try on the piles of shirts I accumilated, I walked away with the only one that looked decent, a plain beige shirt. UGH!! I searched and searched with my poor dear boyfriend. After almost reaching a teary breaking point I finally just grabbed whatever had a sparkle and bought it. Probably a bad idea but at that point I just needed to indulge in something shiny. Its a rose pink tank with a black sparkly neckline, I figured Id pair it with a blazer and my new jeans. Not what I was hoping for but I guess Ill see what I can do when my bday comes, which is in 2 days.
I learned something valuable today: that women have to deal with so much bullshit. Its not about getting clothes to look good, we all want that. Its about the pressure of gettin clothes to look good. I realized that I needed to look nice for my bday and I wasn't going to settle for lookin like my usual plain jane self, but ironically all I really wanted was for the rest of the world to walk around in Togas so that the pressure of me wanting to "look fabulous" could disappear.
Thats when I decided to stop my shallow tantrum, grabbed the first thing that caught my eye and agreed to "make it work". I refuse to let a stupid store like TJ Maxx degrade my spirit, and slowly all the commercials embedded in our brains, of women: Shopping: buyin clothes, buying holiday bullshit, all the commercials that tell us women are only good for shopping, faded into reality. I am a woman, a beautiful healthy woman, and I'll look good no matter what garmet comes my way. I embraced my hand me downs so that I can focus on what I really want: some new videogames :p
Hope this was inspirational
And remember, when/if you feel ur soul being degraded in the dressing room, screw it all, theres always ur sisters closet ;)

Yellow Light of Death? Try this...

For those of you who need help with a PS3 that's got the famous YELLOW LIGHT OF DEATH...I have a solution that may work for you.  Now, some of you may be familiar with the blow dryer trick.  I found several videos on youtube about using a blow dryer to save your PS3.  Some videos vary from each other so that's why I wanted to explain the way I did it.

THING YOU'LL NEED:

*SMALL SCREW DRIVER
*LONG FINGERNAIL or FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER (only to lift out the black tab protecting the Hard Drive)
*BLOW DRYER one that can run for 20 mins without blowing up in your face :P
*TOWEL

STEP ONE:
Unplug everything
STEP TWO:
On the left side of the PS3, you will find a little tab, lift it out to reveal the silver Hard drive.
STEP THREE:
Unscrew the little blue screw in the center, then pull out the Hard Drive.
STEP FOUR:
Wrap the unit in a towel, cover the whole unit but expose the vents in the back.
STEP FIVE:
Using a blow driver on high heat, blow hot air into the back vents, go slowly side to side for approx. 15 minutes.  This is boring work, but if you go slow and steady back and forth you will have a success.  I believe the point is to melt the solder from the CPU and the Motherboard, I believe this is what triggers the YLOD.
STEP SIX:
After exactly 15 mins, any more could damage the unit and any less might not be enough to melt the solder.  Remove the towel carefully because the PS3 will be very hot.
Place a fan on high, and have it blow cold air into the same vents.  Let the fan cool the PS3 for exactly 20 minutes.
STEP SEVEN
Once the cool down is complete, carefully replace the hard drive, screw and cover tab.  Your PS3 should be ready to rock!

NOTE:  Everyone's PS3 is diff, so my suggestion is, once your PS3 is up and running, COPY all your fav files, or transfer them onto a USB.  Save whatever is precious to you that way if your PS3 crashes for good you'll at least have your DATA as well as any disc that may have been stuck inside.

My PS3 has been running for 3 days now since I did this process, I played Little Big Planet for about 5-6 hours and when I was finished my PS3 was cool to the touch.  I'm guessing it should last me a while ::crosses fingers:: I'll let you guys know otherwise.
Hope this was useful
